Marcia,

I meant to ask you in class, I'm so glad there's this forum so I can ask you now  ;), although it may be a dumb question , do you sand down the clay after you bake it?

I know you dress them and then bake but what about the face or if there's any exposed clay?

I imagine one would have to be extremely careful around the face as you wouldn't want to lose any of the detail.

Marsha...yes you can sand it down with some lightweight sandpaper however I wouldnt sand the face. Sometimes I will use an exacto knife and you can scrape the clay too if there are some rough spots but be careful to just lightly scrape the surface. The wonderful thing about this clay is if you take away too much you can always add on and rebake, polyform clay can be rebaked over and over, just dont exceed the baking temps on the package.  smile/chirolp_iei.gif Great!

Thanks, Marcia.  I'm a bit heavy handed so I'm sure I'll become quite good at "adding" clay

Now that I know how to sculpt ears I better learn how to do noses!!
